MCT1 interface provide a highly cost-effective method for increasing link density by allowing data to be segmented into multiple DS-0 connections for transmission over leased point-to-point links.
Each port on the MCT1 link module features an integrated CSU/DSU for direct connection to a T1 network.
Hardware-based compression is supported with Nortel Networks Advanced Compression Co-processor, a daughter-card mounted on an FRE processor.
This compression enables WAN connections to send twice the amount of data over existing WAN interfaces.
